Brothers Antonis and Nikos Katsieris, having gained valuable work experience in the mechanical departments of large factories in Greece, set up their own machine shop for hydraulic components, under the name AFOI P. KATSIERI.
Their passion for engineering and their love for their creations soon led them to create the first handmade siphon in the country.
However, Greece in the 1980s did not have the necessary infrastructure to manufacture this particular product. They traveled to Italy, where they produced the first limited number of handmade siphons.

The Katsieri Brothers begin collaborating and promoting the product to plumbers and plumbing companies. During this period, they become familiar with the unique category of products that constitute bathroom accessories. The smart ergonomics, excellent functionality, and elegant design required for these products are a real challenge for them. A challenge they do not hesitate to take on.

In Koropi, they established a state-of-the-art machine shop, for the standards of the time, where the first bathroom accessories in Greece were manufactured. Since then, the Katsieri family has specialized exclusively in the design and manufacture of top-quality bathroom accessories. For almost 30 years now, the Sanco brand has been synonymous with durability and longevity, thanks to its excellent materials and flawless construction.

The company is renamed sanco a.e.b.e. and acquires its own production, packaging, storage, and office facilities, as well as a state-of-the-art exhibition center.

Sanco makes its presence felt on the global market for the first time by participating in international exhibitions in Frankfurt and Bologna.

Sanco has now established its leading position in the manufacture of bathroom accessories in the domestic market.
The company, with a deep sense of corporate and social responsibility, implements the “environmental management system according to ELOT EN ISO 1400:2004”. Sanco's top quality is rewarded with a series of international certifications: ISO, while it is one of the first Greek industries to obtain TUV quality control certification. In 2005, extensive modernization and significant expansion of the facilities took place, ushering in a new era for the company. At the same time, its export activity continues dynamically, while its presence at international trade fairs in the sector is now permanent.

The second generation of Katsieris is entering the business with enthusiasm, aspiring to make its own mark. At the same time, new blood is entering the company as a whole, as its management team undergoes in-depth specialization.
However, 2010 is also a landmark year for the expansion of export activities.
Since then, the sanco brand has become an international brand in the field of bathroom accessories, covering more than 20 countries around the world.

Sanco is currently the only company in the field of bathroom accessory design and manufacturing that proudly bears the “made in Greece” label, offering top-quality products from Greece to the whole world.
